LECOM Early Acceptance Programs for Medical, Dental, and Pharmacy School

¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ University and the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine have partnered to enable talented students to gain acceptance to both ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ and LECOM. LECOM’s medical, dental, and pharmacy schools together reserve up to 20 seats each year specifically for ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ students.

High school seniors who meet application requirements may apply for early acceptance to LECOM while they are applying to ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½. Current ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ students who meet application requirements may apply for early acceptance to LECOM before February 1 of their sophomore year. (¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ students also may choose to pursue regular acceptance to LECOM.)

If accepted, students will have a reserved seat waiting for them at LECOM when they graduate from ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½, provided all program requirements are met. Students must maintain certain standards the minimum GPA requirements.

Depending on their career path, students may choose from LECOM campuses in Erie, Pennsylvania, and Bradenton, Florida. The early acceptance program also provides students with the flexibility to apply to other medical or professional schools if they prefer.

    Application Requirements

    • High school GPA of 3.5 or the equivalent
    • SAT score of 1240 or higher or an ACT score of 26 or higher
    • Applying to, accepted to, or currently enrolled at ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½.
    • Complete all LECOM application requirements

    Application Instructions

    Dual Admission Program for Prospective Students:

    1. Apply for admission to ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ University and indicate your interest in the ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½-LECOM program on the appropriate screen within The Common Application.
    2. Complete a . DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 1st.
    3. If selected, complete an interview with LECOM, in-person or via videoconference.

    Early Acceptance Program for Current ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ Students:

    1. Notify the Pre-health Professions Office of your interest in applying to the ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½-LECOM Early Acceptance Program.
    2. Complete a before February 1 of your sophomore year.
    3. If selected, complete an interview with LECOM, in-person or via videoconference.

    Maintenance Criteria for the Program:

    • Minimum overall grade point average of 3.4 at ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½
    • Minimum GPA of 3.2 or better in all ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ science courses
    • Complete LECOM prerequisites and application requirements
