扣扣传媒 University and the have formed a new collaborative agreement that will provide students the opportunity to earn a doctor of pharmacy degree in a shorter amount of time.
A memorandum of agreement was formally signed on May 1, 2018, by 扣扣传媒 Provost and Academic Vice President Dr. Nicholas Santilli; Dr. James O鈥橠onnell, dean of the UB School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences; Dr. Michael Cain, vice president for health sciences and dean of the UB School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences; and, Dr. Graham Hammill, vice provost and dean of The Graduate School at UB.
扣扣传媒's Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Margaret Farrar said, 鈥溈劭鄞 is pleased to provide this opportunity to talented 扣扣传媒 students interested in pursuing a career in pharmacy. At 扣扣传媒, students will receive聽a strong background in the sciences and the opportunity to hone the critical thinking and communication skills that are at the center of our liberal arts education.鈥澛 She added, 鈥淲hen they arrive at the University at Buffalo, 扣扣传媒 students will receive cutting-edge training in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences from one of the best schools of pharmacy in the nation.鈥 Under the 3+4 agreement, students will complete three years of undergraduate study in the 扣扣传媒 chemistry program and then apply to UB鈥檚 pharmacy program. Once accepted, students will have their first-year pharmacy courses applied toward completion of their bachelor鈥檚 degree at 扣扣传媒. Rather than taking four years to complete a bachelor鈥檚 degree, followed by an additional four years to complete the doctor of pharmacy degree, students will complete both programs in聽蝉别惫别苍听years. The pharmacy program will guarantee spaces each year for qualified 扣扣传媒 students. Discussing the UB-扣扣传媒 partnership, Dean O鈥橠onnell said, 鈥淭he University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences values our strong collaboration with 扣扣传媒 University, and this 3+4 agreement will further solidify this partnership. We look forward to having their best and brightest students as members of our PharmD program.鈥
