The program brings together an in-depth and diversified academic curriculum and real-world experience to prepare students to seek professional certification. It also positions them to enter a wide range of careers—from working with individuals with autism, to education, counseling, and roles across a range of industries including organizational behavior management and public health.

Prepare for Certification

The program prepares students to apply for certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)* and as a Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst (COBA).

*BCBA Certification extends to the United States (US), Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom (UK). International applicants can refer to the for resources about behavior analysis standards internationally.

  • A limited number of graduate assistantships provide a tuition waiver for up to 15 credit hours per year plus a stipend. Students are expected to spend 20 hours per week working for the department.

Prepare for a Career in Behavior Analysis

¿Û¿Û´«Ã½â€™s M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis program is delivered using a flexible hybrid model and includes 13 courses, including core requirements totaling 39 credit hours with the opportunity to earn fieldwork hours under the supervision of community partners and university faculty. Students also have the option to work closely with faculty on a research project and a written thesis as a capstone experience. Full-time and part-time enrollment options are available.

The Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis program aims to create professional behavior analysts who embody the Jesuit value of caring for the whole person. The program strives to provide rigorous instruction of behavior analytic principles and concepts to ensure our students engage in high quality and person centered services. The program strives to offer a broad range of experiences that prepare students to develop strong competencies in all areas of behavior analytics.
