While students have many chances to practice their leadership skills on campus, there are certain positions which have a high level of visibility at ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½. Read below to learn more about these opportunities:

Each on-campus residence hall is served by a staff of Resident Assistants (RAs). These undergraduate student leaders work to create a strong sense of community among the residents on their floors and maintain a safe living and learning environment. Applications to be an RA are collected each spring.

Students in any class level may get involved in student government at ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½. Elections are held late in the fall semester of each year and you can learn more information about this organization byÌýclicking here.

Each summer, the student Orientation Leaders help to welcome incoming new students and their guests to campus in order for them to make a successful transition to college life. Applications are collected and individuals are selected for the staff at the end of each fall semester.

Tour Guides in the Office of Admission are some of ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½â€™s most articulate, courteous, and involved students. These ambassadors create a positive first impression of the university for prospective students and families. Applications are collected and interviews are conducted each spring.

Peer Advisors help their peers with unique career development needs through conducting individual appointments at the Career Center, conducting outreach to the student body on behalf of the Career Center, and participating in marketing and coordinating career events. The application process takes place in the spring semester of each year, with more information available here.

Student Liaisons in the Center for Service and Social Action contribute significantly to the culture of service at ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½. These student leaders serve as ambassadors that connect the University to the community, facilitate a positive service experience for their fellow students, lead reflection, and transport students to and from community partner locations.

CFC leaders help foster the community of faith here at ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ by planning and leading weekly faith sharing groups of about 8-10 students each. Applications are collected and leaders are selected at the end of each spring semester. More information can be found on the CFC website of by contactingÌýAnne McGinness.

Immersion student coordinators (SCs) are models of a faith that does justice. SCs lead their respective groups by facilitating a semester-long preparation process, modeling the program pillars of community, spirituality, education, service, and social justice, and guiding groups through 7-10 day experiences in their respective international or domestic locations. Applications are collected and SCs are selected at the beginning of each semester (students must have participated in a ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ immersion prior to applying to lead). Manresa is the signature retreat program offered at ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ based on Ignatian spirituality. Manresa leaders contribute to the retreat experience by facilitating small groups, coordinating activities, leading prayer services, and giving talks on the themes of the retreat. Applications are collected and team leaders are selected at the beginning of each semester (students must have attended the retreat prior to applying to lead).
