  • – The Ohio Association of Economists and Political Scientists (OAEPS) is an organization of economists and political scientists, as well as undergraduate and graduate students from across Ohio and surrounding states who work to produce and disseminate useful research on subjects related to Ohio’s economy and politics. Its activities include an annual conference and publication of the Journal of Economics and Politics. Dr. Elizabeth Stiles and Dr. Colin Swearingen, professors of Political Science at ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ University, currently serve as OAEPS Board Members.

  • – Founded in 1903, the American Political Science Association is the leading professional organization for the study of political science and serves more than 13,000 members in more than 80 countries. With a range of programs and services for individuals, departments, and institutions, APSA brings together political scientists from all fields of inquiry, regions, and occupational endeavors within and outside academe to deepen our understanding of politics, democracy, and citizenship throughout the world.
  • – The Midwest Political Science Association (MPSA) was founded in 1939 and is dedicated to the advancement of scholarship in all areas of political science.The purposes of the MPSA are to promote the professional study and teaching of political science, to facilitate communications between those engaged in such study, and to develop standards for and encourage research in theoretical and practical political problems. As such, MPSA is a nonpartisan association. It does not support political parties or candidates.
  • – IPSA was founded in Paris in 1949 under the aegis of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). The special mandate of IPSA, expressed in its Constitution, is to support the development of political science in all parts of the world, building academic networks linking East and West, North and South. Its aim is to create an inclusive and global political science community in which all can participate. It seeks to promote collaboration between scholars in emerging and established democracies and to support the academic freedoms needed for the social sciences to flourish.
  • – Founded in 1948, the Western Political Science Association is an association of more than 1250 political scientists. The WPSA is headquartered at Portland State University. The purpose of the Association is to promote the study and teaching of government and politics, to foster research, and to facilitate the discussion of public affairs. The official region of the WPSA includes both the western states of the United States and the western provinces of Canada: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. WPSA members reside primarily in the western region, but approximately one-third of their members come from outside the region.

  • – Since its founding in 1922, Foreign Affairshas been the leading forum for serious discussion of American foreign policy and global affairs. It is now a multiplatform media organization with a print magazine, a website, a mobile site, various apps and social media feeds, an event business, and more. Foreign Affairs is published by the (CFR), a non-profit and nonpartisan membership organization dedicated to improving the understanding of U.S. foreign policy and international affairs through the free exchange of ideas.
